HPL coaches have many years of industry and business experience leading organizations and creating and sustaining high performance teams. Their coaching is is based on years of hands on experience through leading and doing. This experience provides prioritization of the necessary practical skills and habits leaders need to develop to be highly effective, and gives the coaches the ability to ask insightful questions leading to enhanced development and self discovery for the leaders.
Many leadership development programs do not include coaching. The lack of a coach can make the transition from new knowledge or skills to effective application and mastery very challenging. Often leaders struggle to implement new concepts and methods initially, and without a coach may abandon these changes before results are achieved and sustaining habits are formed. Our coaches not only assist in development of the practical leadership skills and tools, but also support leaders throughout the program to develop the habits necessary to succeed and win!
Our focus is to develop practical leadership skills. Skills that can be applied and used every day. We appreciate and recognize that leaders are very busy and don't have a lot of time for theory. They want to hit the ground running, fix their problems, and get results but get them the right way! Therefore, we focus on providing the skills to achieve and sustain them. We introduce and expose leaders to the most important leadership and high performance concepts to build understanding, but then develop their skills that they can immediately apply to get results. Through the development of these skills, leaders learn to lead on purpose, build aligned systems, and create and sustain a culture of trust, respect, and high performance.
Using the Leverage Learning Consortium model, leaders accelerate their improvement journey by sharing best practices and benchmarking with other developing leaders. We organize peer-to-peer interactions to share ideas, bounce off ideas, obtain feedback, and learn from each other what works or does not work. This creates a safe environment to learn, develop, and accelerate personal growth.
Although our programs may have a formal beginning and ending, HPL is in it for the long haul. Our goal is to form long term, lasting relationships with leaders and companies while continuing to add exceptional value for our partners. What this means is we want to make a difference, and that guides our programs, content, and coaching. We want leaders and their companies to be successful long term. We measure ourselves by the long term impact we have on a leader and/or organization, rather than how many people attend our development programs.
